Here we are inhabiting the craft cabinet at the Brindley Arts Centre (www.thebrindley.org.uk). Lots of cute wee things from the fabulous Replic’elfs and planetaye-ayes! Goan have a nosey, we’ll be there for the next few weeks. 😉
Ohh now I am in organise mode…
I am getting all my bits and pieces ready for an early start on Sunday, planetaye will have a stall at the Contemporary Arts and Crafts Fair at Astley Park, Chorley on the 6th Feb 2011 so here is a wee sneak preview of some new Valentinies that will be available!
If you are around Astley Park – Chorley on Sunday please drop in and have a look.
Now I must get on with my organising… making teeny tiny boxes for teeny tiny cakes.
My first go at a craft fair in nearly 30 years. … never! …surely not! I hear you cry. No, really, but way back then I was knitting like a wee demon and sewing little felt toys. Somewhere there are photys of my stalls at the Grassmarket (Edinburgh), so I’ll have to dig them out and scan.
But back to yesterday and Great Budworth Craft and Gift fair. Held in the village church, with ‘tables’ neatly constructed over 3 pew backs and 40 odd stall holders it attracted a non-stop flow of interested visitors. A good day and raised a lot of money for the Great Budworth committee. So here are some photys of my stall and the goodies thereupon. Many of these will soon be going onto my wee folksy shop – go on, give the photys a click and see the items in detail.
Having missed ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day!‘ I decided to make up for my lack of ha-harring and walking the plank with…
skull ‘n’ crossbones buttons.
They coulda come right off the threadbare waistcoat o’ Jack Sparrow hisel.
big button = 28mm approx.
wee button = 18mm approx.
(the other one is a fridge magnet)
crafted from polymer clay on a metal button dome and shank
Here is a wee glimpse of what I get up to, in those moments in betweeen snooping for a real job and looking at The Daily Squee! Buttons, magnets, mirrors and some odd uncatogorised thingies. Polymer clay is my friend (apart from days when it all ends up as a grey lump – although this is still useful…?) Get thee to the wee shop for some of these and others.
At last I have taken the plunge and opened a wee Folksy online shop.
You can find me here planetaye.folksy.com.
So far I have 4 items in my shop but this will increase (daily?) as I finish off my recent creative burst! All the polishing and buffing is good for the muscles in one arm!
Magnets, badges and dangly dough hearts – not a bad start. 😉
Right oh! consumers are not yet flocking to my two Big Cartel stores to purchase the badges and magnets on sale there.
Possibly because they don’t know about them yet, so now you do… go on support your online crafty piece and in doing so tart up your fridge or and t-shirt!
