art, coloured pencil, exhibitions, Painting

on the walls!

Apaintings at Castle Park Art Centret the back end of the year I submitted three paintings to a local art exhibition. Thought you might like to see them in situ.  Now they are wrapped up safely till I (hopefully) get them into another gallery later this year and maybe make a sale?
These are graphite and coloured pencil works on three different kinds of paper, as much a test of the paper as of my skill rendering the subjects. Titles are:”Four Tomatoes”, “Horse Chestnuts” and “Two Plums”
(Titles are not my strong point!)

I’ve entered paintings in this annual open exhibition for the past three years and they have all been botanical subjects and they have all been round shapes. It seems there is a pattern developing!

The Castle Park Arts Centre in Frodsham, Cheshire always has something interesting coming up and I regularly take a trip to see whats hanging and visit the cafe.
